• InSites Web Services
  Web application & Internet Marketing firm founded in 2002. For dozens of clients IWS has provided tech support, software training, web hosting, search engine optimization, e-commerce, and web development and software development services. IWS provides everything from one-page sites to database driven e-commerce web applications. IWS has designed, developed and launched approximately 30 web sites using a variety of technologies. A deep understanding of top SEO methodology has led to over 10,000 top 10 rankings on the big 2 search engines.
• Rejuvenative Foods
  SEO services for an outstanding real whole organic food distributor. Initial Results show over 300 new top 10 rankings and a increase in traffic of nearly 45%. Ranked dozens of phrases including #1 ranking for Organic Salsa and #1 for Organic Almond Butter resulting in 1,000+ new highly targeted visitors every month. In addition to SEO work I assisted with marketing and introduced "package deals" special offer on the site that has been a huge success. Most recently hired to move the web presence onto a new e-commerce system without losing search engine rankings.
• A Cut Above Exteriors Initially hired for search engine optimization work where search engine rankings went from 33 top 10 rankings to 122. Have since been retained to build their new website and have built dozens of different landing pages. Work includes implementing a script that allows the company to accurately track phone calls for multiple campaigns on a single website. Rankings in 1st position went from 0 to 12, rankings in the top 5 went from 6 to 40 rankings in the top 10 went from 10 to 69.
• Renewal By Andersen Setup web presence and a dozen other landing pages with ability to track leads by source, consulted on design and marketing.
• Marco Polo Designs Retained to help in the launch of their website focused on search engine marketing and improving conversion rates for this international dichroic glass jeweler. Early results were a 277% increase in search engine traffic accounting for 15% of all sales.
• Renovation Concepts Dozens of the top remodeling companies in town together in one place. Advised on the launch of the site and implemented search engine optimization strategies that resulted in a top 5 ranking for the four highest priority phrases.
• The Wall Hired initially for search engine optimization services and PPC campaign management also have been retained to fix a broken administrative tool. First Position rankings increased from 36 to 62, top 5 rankings increase from 85 to 131, top 10 Rankings increase from 105 to 172.
• Your Laundry Service Hired for search engine optimization services and to plan implement and manage google adword campaigns.
• Brightworks Retained for search engine marketing services. The direction of the project changed mid-project leading to negligible SEO results.
• Stoppiello Architecture Assisted in re-launching this website on wordpress and implemented search engine optimization strategies to rank for passive solar design terms. Top 5 rankings for 7 of 10 keywords targeted. Top 10 rankings for the majority of the phrases targeted.
• American Home Renewal One of the leading remodeling groups in Portland Oregon includes dozens of the best remodeling companies in town. Advised on the launch of the site and implemented search engine optimization techniques that included a top three ranking for the four highest priority phrases including "portland oregon remodeling".
• Nepal Discovery Tours A 4-week tour of Nepal that weaves cultural and permaculture education together. This site was built using InSite 5.0 (company now out of business)

• Energy Park This group is at the Oregon Country Fair. InSite is being used to provide this web site and searchable directory of the many experts from every area of renewable energy. SlideShow Pro is embedded to provide the flash slideshow feature.
• Community Village Insite provides a searchable directory and database for dozens of nonprofit organizations involved in "Community Village" at the Oregon Country Fair.
• Different Sources Of Electricity Another InSite project that has hundreds of top rankings related to electricity.
• Dangerous Writing : DW needed a database-driven website to publish information and the ability for users to register & pay online for a series of Fiction workshops offered by Tom Spanbauer, Pulitzer nominated author (2/1/07 DW closes doors).
• www.summershow.com Represents the first release of InSite in 2003. This web site offered a directory of vendor information for an event at the Oregon Convention Center. This annual event ended in 2005 and now IWS owns this web property. Thanks to the SEO strategies it remains a portal for summer camps.

  This optimization was performed while employed at SEO Inc... too bad search engines don't like pharmacies.
• www.labelsonline.com SEO done on this site while employed at SEO Inc, achieved top 10 rankings for most of the 20 phrases we targeted in the campaign.

  Another SEO project for SEO Inc, role was performing the optimization.
• www.fantasybasketballstats.com Senior year project, (not a live service) some of this code found it's way into InSite.

11/2004-2/2005 Applied best methods for maximizing traffic to web sites via search engines through:

• Conducted assessments of overall SEO strategy for individual clients from pre-sale consultation to implementation.
• Implementing SEO strategies at client sites; including: keyword analysis, search engine optimization, submissions, and performance analysis for sites with CSS, PHP, JSP, and HTML.
• Early exit from company after rebuking SEO Inc's offer to take InSite in exchange for a job in software development and a "chance" of residuals. The legal department asked me to either leave or sign a contract that gave them legal inroads to use InSite if I continued to work on it despite the years of work I had put into it previously.
• Much love to SEO Inc. I truly liked everybody I met there. Very smart people.

Technical Support University of Oregon Law School 5/1999-12/2000

• Team of 7 provided one-on-one technical support for students, professors, administrators, and faculty of the UO Law School.
• Provide software training for everything from printing, email, ftp, Word, web browsing, and Macintosh & Windows OS.
• Provide support required from faculty including installing network cards, setting up Internet, setting up network printers, diagnosing crashed machines, undoing damage caused by viruses, troubleshooting slow machines, replacing hardware; essentially we did whatever was needed.
• Set up and did camera work for a then experimental videoconferencing class connecting a class at UO to Oregon State.

B.S. in Computer and Information Science from the University Of Oregon (2002)

• Worked with John Conery on www.fantasybasketballstats.com to build a java application that retrieved NBA data from online data sources and performed fantasy stat-keeping.
• An answer on my Software Engineering final was the original vision of InSite, helping me towards a 100% on the test.
• Won finals of Artificial Intelligence class bot-only Domino tournament by nearly 100 points... eventually disqualified for taking advantage of a glitch in the game.
